WorkSource Portland Metro
On June 29th, Worksystems in partnership with the Columbia-Willamette Workforce Collaborative (CWWC) and WorkSource Oregon and Washington hosted a job fair for people interested in pursuing careers in the long term care industry
Over 200 job seekers attended and met with 51 employers who are currently hiring. Attendees also had the chance to speak with people in various occupations including nursing, medication aids, caregivers and administration to gain insight into the challenges and rewards of various professions. // Read more

Worksystems is one of three metro area Workforce Development Boards implementing an $8.5 million US Department of Labor grant - called ReBoot NW - that will provide training to unemployed veterans and long-term unemployed job seekers in our region who are interested in mid- to high-level careers in IT/Tech and Manufacturing. ReBoot NW is our region’s response to the White House’s Ready to Work Initiative, which is premised on the idea that anyone who is ready to work should be able to find a job that fits their skills or access training to find a better job. // Read more
The Portland Metro area will get an influx of training resources to assist job seekers and incumbent workers at target sector businesses.
The State of Oregon has received a $6.8M National Emergency Grant to support sector work and an estimated $2M will be coming to the Portland area. Worksystems will manage these resources and make them available through WorkSource Portland Metro. // Read more

Over 80 long-term unemployed Oregonians attended our customized event aimed at helping them re-enter the workforce. Developed for middle-skilled job seekers who have been unemployed for more than 25 weeks, the event provided attendees with an individualized job search plan, a personalized resume review, connection to job-search resources, a 1-on-1 meeting with a career specialist, and information about local industry sectors. // Read more
Jesse joined Worksystems in 2009 and is responsible for the management of WorkSource Portland Metro's adult workforce services aimed at providing quality employment and training services to adult job seekers. He works closely with a wide variety of WIOA partners including the Oregon Employment Department, DHS, Vocational Rehabilitation, community colleges and community based organizations. Jesse is also the Program Manager overseeing Worksystems’ SNAP Training and Employment Program grant with DHS. // Read more
Sean joined Worksystems in 2009. He convenes the team of Center Leads who provide guidance and direction to WorkSource Portland Metro Centers. He manages a portfolio of youth and adult contracts and supports resource development efforts for the organization.
Sean has more than 15 years experience in workforce development at the local and federal level. He holds a Master’s Degree in Education from The George Washington University.
