Bioscience

Bioscience is typically defined as the application of life science knowledge in research, the development of products, or the delivery of services. Bioscience includes:

  • Drugs and Pharmaceuticals: medicinal and diagnostic substances.
  • Medical Devices and Equipment: biomedical instruments, and other products for diagnostics, surgery, patient care, and laboratories.
  • Agricultural Feedstock and Chemicals: processing of agricultural goods and production of agricultural chemicals.
  • Research, Testing, and Medical Laboratories: research, development, and commercialization of drugs and delivery systems, and service-oriented medical and other testing.

WSI, Region 2 WorkSource partners and Oregon Bioscience Association have partnered to create a Bioscience Skill Panel to address the training needs of the industry in our region.
