The Portland Metro area will get an influx of training resources to assist job seekers and incumbent workers at target sector businesses.
The State of Oregon has received a $6.8M National Emergency Grant to support sector work and an estimated $2M will be coming to the Portland area. Worksystems will manage these resources and make them available through WorkSource Portland Metro. // Read more
Over 80 long-term unemployed Oregonians attended our customized event aimed at helping them re-enter the workforce. Developed for middle-skilled job seekers who have been unemployed for more than 25 weeks, the event provided attendees with an individualized job search plan, a personalized resume review, connection to job-search resources, a 1-on-1 meeting with a career specialist, and information about local industry sectors. // Read more
Stefanie joined Worksystems in 2013 and is responsible for a range of projects that include management of the region’s WorkSource Portland-Metro website, staff professional development training, the region’s self-sufficiency tool (Prosperity Planner), and she works on several special projects aimed at providing employment training opportunities for job seekers in the area. // Read more
Pam joined Worksystems in 2009 and manages a range of projects for the Adult Team including serving as the Operator for WorkSource Portland Central and managing the Housing Works program, a four-county alignment of public housing and workforce services. // Read more
Clover has 15 years of program management and workforce development experience and has worked on several initiatives aimed at increasing the accessibility of workforce services to individuals with disabilities, English Language Learners, and those impacted by a criminal background or homelessness.
