WorkSource Portland Metro Centers
Everyday hundreds of job seekers and workers receive assistance through the regional WorkSource Centers as they search for satisfying career employment. These candidates make use of the services available to all job seekers including use of a staffed resource room with multiple computer terminals, job postings, and instruction on how to conduct a job search, write a resume, or interview with an employer. Other job seekers enroll in more intensive services and receive career coaching, basic education, GED preparation, ESL classes, computer literacy classes, occupational skills training, or on-the-job training.

The regional WorkSource Centers also deliver customized training targeted at the current workforce. If you have workers in need of training, Business Services Specialists at the WorkSource Centers can assess your training needs and arrange for basic skills, ESL, workplace behavior, and staff development classes and workshops. They can also deliver technical training customized for your industry and work site. The Specialists often partner with local community colleges to assure access to industry specific training resources.
