Adult Services
Worksystems, Inc. manages workforce development and training resources for adults in Multnomah and Washington Counties and the City of Portland through a system of WorkSource Portland Metro Centers, formerly referred to as One Stop Centers.

WorkSource Portland Metro Centers provide communities with access to information and resources that can assist people in career planning, job search activities, and skill development. Self-directed resource rooms at each center provide access to computer workstations, job orders and listings, resume software, and a wealth of planning and job search assistance information. Employer Forums are a routine event at the WorkSource Centers to introduce potential workers to community employers.

For people who have lost their job as a result of lay-off or business closure, our Regional Dislocated Worker Program provides a comprehensive set of services to assist. These services are designed to minimize the impact of job loss and create a pathway for individuals to obtain new employment as quickly as possible that matches their education, skills and interests. Services for dislocated workers are offered through the WorkSource Centers. For more information read our brochure.

Job seekers interested in more in-depth information about the services available through the workforce development system are invited to attend an orientation session at the WorkSource Portland Metro Center of their choice. Each center offers sessions at different times to accommodate most schedules. Orientations provide job seekers with information about available training programs and other services that may assist them in their career planning and job search.
