Worksystems, Inc. is governed by a nine member Board of Directors. The Board Members are all members of the Workforce Investment Board. The WSI Board of Directors' purpose is to administer Worksystems, Inc. as effectively as possible in order to carry out the area’s strategic workforce plan and related goals and objectives as adopted by the area’s Workforce Investment Board (WIB). The WSI Board of Directors serves as the Executive Committee of the Workforce Investment Board. WSI Board Member responsibilities include:

• Adopting and overseeing WSI’s budget and expenditures;
• Hiring, evaluating and terminating the employment of WSI’s Executive Director;
• Overseeing agency contract decisions;
• Rendering at each annual meeting an adequate report covering the activities of the corporation during the preceding year;
• Informing the WIB on a regular basis of WSI’s progress in achieving strategic goals and objectives set by the WIB; and
• Adopting WSI policies as necessary to ensure accountability and compliance with Federal, State and local laws, rules, grant terms and agreements, and provide oversight and accountability for dollars allocated to contractors for workforce services.
