In August 2006, the Workforce Investment Board for the City of Portland, Multnomah and Washington Counties (Region 2) passed a Strategic Plan for the years 2007-2009. This plan was adopted following the passage of the State of Oregon's Strategic Plan for workforce development, and the regional strategic plan compliments the state plan goals. Also in August 2006, the Workforce Investment Board adopted a new committee structure to oversee and ensure achievement of the strategic plan. This web site will be used to report on the progress of those committees.
