Overview:
While there are varying definitions of clean technology, to help guide investments and resources to be most effective, Worksystems is focused on energy efficiency through information technology. To this end Worksystems has convened businesses in the software industry to prioritize the most effective training to help reduce the industry’s carbon footprint and help companies become as energy efficient as possible.
The State Energy Sector Partnership (SESP) offers support for students struggling financially to complete their educational goals in pursuit of careers in renewable energy and clean technology. Worksystems, Inc., in partnership with Oregon Institute of Technology, Portland Community College and Mt Hood Community College, will help over 100 students complete their certificate or Associates Degree programs. By 2013, we will help at least eighty students find their way to a green career. This program is funded by the Oregon Department of Community Colleges and Workforce Development.
